Community Guidelines & Terms

These guidelines apply when you use the DISMO79 community features — your garage, the trade board, leaderboards, badges, wishlists and public collector profiles. They’re in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By using any community feature you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use these features.

1. What the community features are

The community features let collectors log and value their collections, show them off, connect with other collectors, and flag pieces they’d like to trade. They are a place to connect — not a marketplace operated by DISMO79. DISMO79 does not buy, sell, ship, escrow, or guarantee anything traded between collectors.

2. Provided “as is”

These features are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. They are new and still being developed — they may change, pause, break, or be removed at any time, and estimated values, counts and other figures may be inaccurate.

3. Your content

You own the content you add (photos, names, notes, valuations) and you are responsible for it. You confirm you have the right to use it, and that it isn’t illegal, infringing, misleading, or abusive. We may remove any content or listing, and moderation is best-effort — we can’t review everything. Keep a copy of anything important; we’re not responsible for content that’s lost or removed.

4. Trade board — introductions only

The trade board simply lets collectors mark pieces for trade and find each other. DISMO79 is not a party to any trade. We do not handle money, hold items in escrow, verify identities, or take any fee or commission. We make no guarantee about the authenticity, condition, ownership, description, value, or availability of any item, or that any trade will complete.

When you trade, you do so entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for:

• verifying the item, the other collector, and everything you agree;
• meeting only in safe, public places and taking your own safety precautions;
• handling all payment, exchange, shipping and taxes between yourselves; and
• resolving any dispute directly with the other collector.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DISMO79 accepts no responsibility or liability for any trade, contact, loss, damage, fraud, injury or dispute arising from the trade board.

5. Valuations are indicative

Any values shown — whether your own estimates or catalog prices — are indicative only. They are not financial or investment advice and are not a guarantee that an item is worth, will sell for, or can be traded for any amount.

6. How to behave

Don’t use the community features to:

• defraud, scam, harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
• post illegal, stolen, counterfeit, infringing or offensive content;
• spam, scrape, or misuse other collectors’ contact details; or
• break any applicable law.

7. Other collectors’ privacy

You only see what other collectors choose to make public through their visibility settings. Don’t collect, share or misuse anyone’s personal information or contact details beyond arranging a trade they’ve agreed to.

8. Limitation of liability & indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DISMO79 and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the community features or from any trade, contact or content between collectors, including any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss. You use these features at your own risk.

You agree to indemnify and hold DISMO79 harmless against any claim, cost or liability arising from your content, your conduct, or any trade you take part in.

9. Suspension & removal

We may remove content, hide listings, or suspend accounts that breach these guidelines or that we consider harmful to the community — at our discretion, with or without notice.

10. Changes & contact

We may update these guidelines as the community grows; the “last updated” date will change. These guidelines are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any dispute is subject to the courts of the UAE, without affecting mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
