Pre-order Policy

Last updated: 5 August 2026

A pre-order lets you reserve an upcoming model before it is released, so we can order it for you in our next batch. Pre-orders work differently from in-stock orders, so please read this policy before you place one. It is in addition to our Terms of Service. By placing a pre-order you agree to it.

1. A pre-order is a request, not a guaranteed order

Placing a pre-order and paying a deposit reserves your interest in an item — it does not guarantee that you will receive it. Upcoming models depend entirely on the manufacturer, who may delay, change, cut down, or cancel a product, or release it in a different specification, colour or packaging from the preview. Manufacturers also frequently allocate only limited quantities to distributors, so demand can exceed what we are actually able to obtain. Your pre-order is confirmed only once the item has been produced, allocated to us, and received.

2. Minimum numbers — a pre-order may not go ahead

Some items only become viable to order once enough collectors have pre-ordered them, or once we reach a supplier’s minimum quantity. If an item does not attract enough pre-orders to qualify, or our supplier drops or fails to allocate it, we may cancel the pre-order. If that happens, you pay nothing further and any deposit you paid is refunded or credited in full.

3. Deposits & balance

Pre-orders are secured with a 50% deposit. The remaining balance is due when the item arrives and is ready for collection or dispatch. You pay by bank transfer and upload your proof from your account, the same as any other order. We won’t release or ship an item until its balance is paid.

If the balance is not paid within a reasonable time after we notify you that the item has arrived, we may treat the pre-order as cancelled by you and re-sell the item (see section 5).

4. ETAs are estimates

Any arrival date or ETA shown is the manufacturer’s or supplier’s best estimate at the time and will often move. Release dates for diecast models slip regularly, sometimes by several months. We pass on the best information we have, but we are not responsible for manufacturer or shipping delays, and a delay is not on its own a reason for a refund of a valid pre-order that is still going ahead.

5. Cancellations & refunds

If we cancel (manufacturer cancellation, minimum not met, non-allocation, or we otherwise can’t fulfil it): your deposit is refunded or credited in full. That is the limit of our responsibility — we are not liable for any other loss.

If you cancel: because a deposit lets us commit your unit to a supplier order, a deposit can only be refunded if you cancel before we place the batch order with our supplier. Once we have committed the order, the deposit is non-refundable, though we’ll always try to be fair and may offer a store credit or let you transfer it to another item at our discretion.

6. Pricing

The price shown when you pre-order is the price we intend to honour. In the rare case that a supplier’s cost, a manufacturer’s change, taxes, or exchange rates move the landed cost materially before the item is ordered, we may need to adjust the price — if we do, we’ll tell you first and you can cancel for a full refund of your deposit instead of accepting the change.

7. The item you receive

Preview and manufacturer images are indicative. Final production pieces can differ slightly in colour, finish, tampo, packaging or spec, and manufacturers sometimes revise a model between announcement and release. Minor differences of this kind are normal for pre-orders and are not a defect.

8. Collection & delivery

When your pre-order arrives, it’s fulfilled like any other order — see How it works for how collection and delivery work in the UAE and Pakistan. Pakistan orders ship in bulk batches and the balance falls due when the batch reaches Pakistan.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DISMO79 and its owner are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from a pre-order, a manufacturer’s decision, or a delay. Where we are found liable, our total liability for a pre-order is limited to the amount you have actually paid us for it. Nothing in this policy removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

10. Changes & contact

We may update this policy as our pre-order process develops; the “last updated” date will change. This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
